Rava Idly

Ingredients

  • Rava/ sooji – 200 g
  • Curd – 100 g

Tempering:

  • Mustard seeds – 1 tea spoon
  • Green chilli – 2
  • Cashew – 6 pieces
  • Ginger – grated few pieces
  • Urad dhall – 2 table spoon
  • Channa dhall – 1 table spoon
  • Curry leaves – 1 spoon
  • Soda uppu – 1 tsp
  • Salt – tsp

How to prepare Rava idly

  • Mix curd ,salt and rava in a bowl and set it aside for 10 to 15 mins
  • Add 1 teaspoon of ghee in a fry pan
  • Add mustard seeds and allow to splutter
  • Add gram dal, Urad dal, green chilli,cashew ,ginger,curry leaves ,asafetida,
    Roast
  • Mix the roasted ingredients to the rava curd mix or batter
  • Pour the batter into the greased idli plate
  • Steam the idlies for 15 minutes
  • Enjoy rava idli with Coconut chutni or Mint Chutni
