Payatham Urundai



  • Moong dhall, Payatham paruppu – Golden brown roasted – 1 Cup
  • Sugar – 2 Cups  
  • Cashew – 10 to 20 pieces
  • Cardamom Powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Ghee – 250 ml

How to Prepare Payatham Urundai:

  • Roast the Moong dhal till it turns golden brown
  • Cool it and grind it to fine powder
  • Grind Sugar to fine powder
  • Mix well
  • Add Cardamom powder, Cashew and required amount of pre heated Ghee
  • Make it to small balls using hands with soft pressure
  • Add Ghee as required if you are unable to make it round balls
