
Wheat Halwa
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour – 1 Cup
- Water – 3 Cups
- Sugar – 2 Cups
- Ghee – 250 Ml
- Orange food color – kesari color
For tempering:
- Ghee – 3 Spoons
- Cashews – 10 to 20
- Cardamom – 4 to 5 ( Grinded )
How to make Wheat Halwa:
- Mix Wheat flour in 3 cups of water
- Leave it for 6 hours
- Add the mixture in a thick bottomed pan ( you use non stick as well )
- The mixture has to get to thick consistency and cooked well
- Ensure there are no lumps
- If Sugar added earlier the mix will not get cooked well
- Once cooked well add 2 cups of sugar
- Stir and cook for about 10 to 15 mins
- Add required quantity of food color and mix well
- Add one spoon full of ghee at regular intervals
- It will take at least 3 spoons ( deep spoons ) as that alone gives the real taste to the Halwa
- When the mixture cooked well and all the ghee added gets released from the sides of the pan off the flame
- Wheat Halwa is ready to be served
