Aloo Samosas



1 cup – all-purpose flour
Salt to taste
Baking powder – a pinch
1tsp – oil
For Filling:
2 tsp – oil
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Carom seeds – 1/2 tsp
1 – onion, finely chopped
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder
Dry mango powder – 1/2 tsp
2 – potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
Salt to taste
Chat masala.

How to Make Aloo Samosas

Mix maida, salt, baking powder, oil and enough water and make a stiff dough
Boil the potatoes, peel and mash well and keep aside.
Heat 2 tsp oil in a kadai and splutter cumin seeds and add carom seed, finely chopped onion, chopped green chillies and fry well.
Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, amchur powder and mix well.
Add mashed potatoes, salt and chaat masala and mix well.
Now roll the dough into small puris, cut into half and fold a piece to form a triangle, stuff with the filling and close the edges by twisting the edges.
Deep Fried in oil warmed and maintained in medium heat for uniform cooking.
