American Butter Cream



175g – white cooking fat
50g – butter
375g – icing sugar
50g – evaporated milk
2 pinches – salt
3 drops – vanilla essence

How to Make American Butter Cream

Sift half the icing sugar and salt. Mix butter and fat, beat till smooth.
Mix in sifted sugar, beat till smooth.
Sift remaining sugar, mix with milk powder.
Add to mixture, with essence.
Mix again, but do not overbeat.
To stiffen further mix in some corn flour. To make it softer, mix in a few drops of milk.
Use as required.
