Onion Garlic Chutney with Pepper
2 – onions
2 – tomatoes
9 – garlic cloves
1/2 tsp – pepper
3 to 4 – green chillies
2 – red chillies
Curry leaves, a few
1 cup – coriander leaves
1/2 tsp – urad dal
Tamarind – one small lemon – sized ball
Salt to taste
Oil to fry
How to Make Onion Garlic Chutney with Pepper
Chop onion and tomato finely. Heat oil and temper urad dal. Then fry the onion till it turns a little brown.
Add garlic, pepper, green chillies and red chillies. Mix well.
Add tomato and fry for 3 minutes.
Add tamarind, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Add salt and fry well for another 2 minutes.
Cool and grind the mixture into a fine paste.
Heat a little oil and fry the mixture for 2 minutes.
It is ready to serve with dosas, chapattis or plain hot rice.
